Early eighteenth century silver, ruby and enamel double-sided Order of Christ pendant

Provenance - Berkeley collection, Spetchley House.

Measures 5.4 x 4.5cm. One ruby absent.

Of very unusual, and pleasing, form. The dark green enamel is almost missed among the piercing and in contrast to the bright red enamel cross and rubies

The two sides are virtually identical so it can be worn without worrying about it turning
