




Late 16th-early 17th century gold claw ring c.1590-1600. The bezel containing a cushion shaped garnet (later) held by a gold bird's claw to each corner. The underside of the bezel and the lower section of the claws with blue enamel decoration.
The inside of the shank inscribed in the same enamel "Ex dono robe........ti wadeson" (the gap is where the ring has been re-sized). Stating the ring was a gift from Robert Wadeson.
